HUNTING THE BRONZE BUFFALO: Paul Neubecker has won his former hometown championship for the second year in a row. It was a fitting victory for the player who first learned how to play croquet on these courts in Delaware Park. Neubecker, 36, began competing in the Buffalo Croquet Club’s 6-Wicket Invitational when the tournament first began nine years ago, winning consecutive Second Flight Doubles championships, before winning First Flight Doubles in 2018. Champions receive free entry into the following year's tournament, as well as a cash prize.
